What happens to your subtitle files when you use these tools.

Updated October 12, 2026.

Your files and edits

Files are read into this browser tab. Editing, format conversion and download preparation run locally. The application does not store original files or completed translations in a database. Closing or reloading the tab clears its working state; download anything you want to keep first.

When you choose translation

Subtitle text segments travel over HTTPS through our server to Qwen on Cloudflare Workers AI. Timestamps, file headers and style definitions are processed locally and are not included in translation requests. Cloudflare and hosting providers process requests under their own service policies. Do not submit content you are not permitted to share with a translation provider.

Protection against abuse

Cloudflare Turnstile verifies requests. Our server uses a salted hash of your connection’s IP address to count requests and characters in Redis. Connection counters expire after up to 24 hours. Shared capacity counters and temporary request identifiers expire within 48 hours. They contain no filenames or subtitle text. Infrastructure providers can still process network metadata in their own logs.

Usage analytics

When configured, Google Analytics records page use and actions such as starting a translation, downloading a result or clicking the coming-soon advanced refinement option. Our custom events contain format codes, language codes, aggregate counts and fixed error codes, never subtitle text or filenames. Google may use cookies and process device and network information. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in this integration.
